Wisdom and Wit From The Blind is the result of over 30 years of published and non-published articles and short stories written by legendary call maker Wendell Carlson and World Champion Duck Caller and call maker Jim James. In this book is compiled articles that span from the early 1980s through the first decade of the 21st Century.
In one place, you can now find all the information, motivation and instruction that thousands of waterfowlers sought out and read during that time span. Often blunt and to the point, these articles are just as relevant today as they were when they were first published. Also included are a few short stories of a more humorous nature that’s sure to bring a smile to a waterfowler’s face.

About the author
As an avid waterfowler and sportsman, Wendell started scientific research and development of his waterfowl call design and operational instruction business in 1968. His duck call design is the only duck call ever to simultaneously hold both first and second place in the World Championship competition and first and second place in the Canadian National Championship. All three of his goose call designs have won championships. His duck call design has also won the United States Open and World Open Championships and hundreds of World Sanctioned State and Regional Championships. He conducted instructional seminars for serious waterfowlers for many years. Wendell sold his business, tooling, equipment, patent and copyrights in 1998 .
