About the author
The author is a Eighty-year-old retired police officer. He and his wife, Mary, have been married for forty-nine years. They have two daughters and six grandchildren. Born in the north-east of England, he spent most of his working life in the Midlands, in Birmingham. This book, which is dedicated to his daughters—Jane Louise and Sally Ann—is probably the result of reading stories to them and their children.
