If a politician tells me its daytime, Im going to walk outside and check
John Henry is an average American. He loves his family. Hes not rich or politically connected. Hes kept his nose clean, served in the military, votes and plays by the rules. He believes in this country and idolizes American heroes. He loves the American culture and freedom. He loves and respects those who have made the sacrifices for his freedoms. He believes in God and wishes the best for his fellow man. He respects the rights and privacy of all. He wonders what has happened to his country and the leaders we have previously elected. He wonders what has happened to the qualities of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. He wonders why our political leaders have failed us. He wonders why the government has declared war on him. For the first time, hes decided to fight back and voice his opinions about many things concerning the American politician and federal government. Hes mad as hell and hes not going to take it any longer!
About the author
John Henry, as any citizen of the United States of America feels, loves his country and is concerned about the direction it’s taking. He graduated from high school and was educated through the public education system before the Federal Government took control. From the time of his childhood, he was taught that the priorities in his life should be God, country, family, and self understanding that there’s a price for freedom; freedom is not free. He understood that he would have to serve the country as his price for freedom. He choose the United States Air Force and enlisted in 1967 rather than waiting to be drafted. He choose not to enlist in the Natiuonal Guard or Reserves. John has voted in every local, state, and federal election since eligible to vote at 21 years of age (legal age at that time). He completed his college education by way of the G.I. Bill and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Studies and a Masters of Science in Industrial Relations Degree. As a student of history and politics, he finally had enough of political stupidity, disloyality to the country, and corruption. He got tired of political ideology taking priority over God and country. He now teaches American History, Advanced Placement World History, and American Government in high school. He decided that now is the time to write about his views and concerns for his country. Why?
John is proud of his family’s history of service to the country. The first members came to this country before the Revolutionary War and served in the Contential Army in the fight for freedom from England. The new government could not pay these men and therefore granted land for their service. John’s family was granted land in Georgia for their service. They worked hard to develop that land and became successful. They served during Mexican War, ‘The War Between the States’, the Spanish-American War, World War I and II, Viet Nam, and Iraq. John’s son served in the United States Marine Corps, his granddaughter served in the United States Army in Iraq. Unfortunately, like the Viet Nam experience, there were politicans who degraded members of the military and their service declaring the war lost almost as soon as it started.
John has reached age 62, married for 36 years with three children, two grandchildren, and a great grandchild and protects the family as a kinsman redeamer. John was born in Miami, Florida and grew up at a time when the state was a pristine environment. He loved playing football and baseball growing up and learned how to swim about the time he learned to walk. John has always wanted people to be successful and happy. John wants his country back, the one that stands for truth, justice, and the American way.
