About the author
Julian S. Huxley (1887–1975) was an English biologist. He was Secretary of the Zoological Society of London, the first Director of UNESCO, and a founding member of the World Wildlife Fund. The grandson of Thomas Henry Huxley and brother of the writer Aldous Huxley, Julian is renowned for his support of Charles Darwin and his theory of evolution. He was knighted in 1958.
