About the author

James Reid is a senior lecturer in childhood studies in the Department of Education and Community Studies at The University of Huddersfield. His recent research included an institutional ethnography that focused on how teachers come to care. He is an active member of the British Educational Research Association and Huddersfield Centre for Research in Education and Society (Hud CRES).
