Konstantín Stanislavski (seudónimo de Konstantín Serguéievich Alekséyev, Moscú, 1863-1938) actor, director y teórico teatral, fue uno de los grandes renovadores del mundo de la escena y del arte teatral del primer tercio del siglo XX, junto con Serguéi Diáguilev (el creador de los Ballets Rusos) y Erwin Piscator (director teatral y autor de Teatro político). Cofundador del Teatro de Arte de Moscú y creador de un método interpretativo que pretende proyectar la emoción de los personajes al espectador de forma verídica y alejada de toda artificialidad.
