About the author
La Rae Schmitt, Writer and Illustrator for Jazzalot and Jazzalot Books, has entertained children since she was a child herself. As a young adult, she would amuse children of family/friends through creative storytelling and art geared towards their interest and abilities. Now, as an older adult, La Rae has similar opportunities of finding fun ways to delight children – with art, music, games, plays, make believe and reading books. The first version of this book, with more primitive artwork, was given as a gift to her two young nieces; after which, their parents encouraged La Rae to pursue writing further… The updated version of ‘This Little House’ is now published to share this story-in-rhyme with you and yours!
