De seudónimo Lewis Carroll, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Daresbury, Cheshire, Reino Unido, 1832 – Guildford, Surrey, Reino Unido, 1898). En 1850, ingresó en la Universidad de Oxford, donde estudió Matemáticas y Humanidades, licenciándose en Lógica Matemática con notas sobresalientes. Fue un diácono anglicano, lógico, matemático, fotógrafo y escritor. Sus obras más difundidas son Alicia en el país de las maravillas (1865) y su secuela A través del espejo y lo que Alicia encontró allí (1871).
