This book is the sixth volume of the Collection of Roth’s Novels. It is included in Tara Basro: A Passer-by on the Earth, a novel by Austrian writer Joseph Roth. Through the ups and downs of a soldier named Tara Basro before and after the first World War, the novel shows the changes of times brought about by the first World War, and also allows readers to have a glimpse of the people’s livelihood in the frontier of the Austro-Hungary Empire at that time.
