Brody was a cute, fun and energetic white and brown tabby, who had a terminal medical condition. His family adopted him even though he looked different from other cats and some considered him ugly. Brody was given a chance at life, loved deeply by his family and lived life to the fullest. Lori J. Cooper was inspired to share her family’s story about losing their beloved pet when he was taken from them shortly after his adoption. She attempts to connect to her audience through shared grief, unconditional love, acceptance and letting go. Lori studied psychology in Phoenix, Arizona, and teaches full time at the collegiate level. Her passion and inspiration include research, writing and advocating for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
