Zetho Cunha Gonçalves nasceu na cidade de Huambo, Angola, em 1960. Passou a infância e a adolescência no Cutato, pequeno povoado na província do Kuando-Kubango. É poeta, ficcionista, autor de literatura infantojuvenil, antologista, tradutor de poesia e organizador de edições. Publicou, desde 1979, cerca de trinta livros, entre poesia, literatura infantil e juvenil, antologias e coleções, em Angola, Brasil, Moçambique, Portugal, Itália, Espanha e Alemanha. Vive hoje em Lisboa e dedica-se inteiramente à literatura.
