About the author

Malgorzata ‘Maggie’ Zurowska was born in Poland. In 2002, she came to the United States in search of adventure. Before her vegan and yogi life, she taught culinary classes as well as courses in tourism and hospitality in New York. During that time, she contributed a chapter on lizard soup to Jonathan Deutsch and Natalya Murakhver’s book They Eat That?: A Cultural Encyclopedia of Weird and Exotic Food from around the World. In 2016, Maggie self-published her first book, Sex and Yoga, a memoir about her New York City life and her travels around the world. She currently lives in Sacramento, California with her wife Robin and many animals. Maggie teaches yoga, vegan cooking classes and how to live a healthy, responsible lifestyle.
