Mara A. Yerkes is a senior research fellow in the Institute for Social Science Research at the University of Queensland, Australia. Previously, Yerkes has conducted research at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Utrecht University and the University of Amsterdam. She is the author of various articles on welfare state policy, the combination of work and care, and gendered patterns of employment, particularly with regard to the prevalence of part-time work.
