Marjorie Agosín.
Chilean – American writer and professor from Wellesley College (USA). She has authored over forty books, published by some of the most prestigious publishing houses in the world. Social justice has always been her motivation, whether as a poet, human rights activist, or literary critic. She has also taken a keen interest in the role of women in Latin America during totalitarian regimes. Some of her most prominent works are related to the works of the women who embroider sackcloth and the use of scraps of fabric and thread as a means of commnication and expression.
