Carolyn Taylor-Watts grew up in rural New Zealand but has lived the greater part of her life in Toronto.
After a long career as a registered nurse, she began writing, and since 1999 has published newspaper articles, short stories, and three books of non-fiction. These were published under her former name, Carolyn Matthews.
Her fascination with 20th-century Greco-Turkish history and the aftermath of the 1922 war between the two sides led to many years of research, to travel in Greece and Turkey, and eventually to the writing of the historical novel, Helena: An Odyssey.
When not writing, Carolyn enjoys reading, travel, music, film – and her families both here and in New Zealand. She loves hearing from her fans.
