A Wee Science for Wee Kids

I was a schoolteacher for thirty-seven years, teaching both in South Carolina and at three international schools. I have taught science, social studies, and language arts to students from ages ten to eighteen. I have always enjoyed teaching writing to my students and writing for myself. When I retired, my granddaughter was six months old, and I enjoyed reading to her whenever we were together. I decided to write a read-aloud bedtime story that reflected her nightly routine. As the years have passed, inspired by her words, her actions, and her desire to learn about the world around her, I have written six more children’s books. I currently live in Hilton Head, South Carolina, where I mentor first-year schoolteachers, golf as much as I can, and continue to write.
