Daniela Richter is an Associate Professor of German in the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Central Michigan University, USA. She has research interests in German nineteenth-century literature and culture, particularly women”s literature, travel literature and the representation of history. She has published articles on these topics in German Quarterly and Colloquia Germanica, in addition to two book chapters. In 2011, she published a monograph titled Domesticating the Public: Women”s Discourse on Gender Roles in Nineteenth-Century Germany.
