Campbell, the author of several suspense-adventure novels, is currently working on his ninth manuscript, which is the third in A Silent Witness murder series about the Dallas police detectives Reese Barrett and Charley Dent. David is a professional journalist, a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in journalism and professional writing, and has worked for several years as a newspaper reporter, editor, photographer, and sports and managing editor. He has been awarded numerous Associated Press Awards in investigative reporting.A Vietnam-era US Navy veteran, he has also gained experience as an oilfield roughneck, a machinist, a print shop owner/operator, and a page setter for a major publishing company.
He currently resides in Mesquite, Texas, with his wife of thirty-four years and counting, Becky, and their two cats. They have three grown daughters living in the metro area, who have given them six grandchildren.
