Doman Lum is interim pastor of the Chinese Community Church, Sacramento, California, and professor emeritus of social work, California State University Sacramento. He graduated from Claremont School of Theology with a Th D in pastoral counseling and psychology and Case Western Reserve University with a Ph D in social welfare. Among his books have been Responding to Suicidal Crisis: For Church and Community; Social Work and Health Care Policy; Social Work Practice and People of Color; Cultural Competence, Practice Stages, and Client Systems; and Culturally Competent Practice. He is a minister of the United Church of Christ, Northern California-Nevada Conference.
