Eliza Applegate earned a bachelor of science degree in mass communications/journalism and a master of arts in liberal studies with a focus in literature and writing. Just out of college, she worked as a newspaper reporter covering general news along with health and medicine. Later, she transitioned into public relations for a private college and a medical foundation. Applegate has spent the past decade experimenting with natural foods in her home kitchen.
