Max Winter (1870-1937), geboren in Tarnok, Ungarn, gestorben in Los Angeles. Er absolvierte eine Kaufmannslehre in Wien und studierte Nationalökonomie, Geschichte und Philosophie ohne Abschluss. Ab 1895 ist Winter Journalist bei der “Arbeiter-Zeitung”, die von Victor Adler 1889 gegründet worden war. Im Dezember 1934 wird ihm die österreichische Staatsbürgerschaft entzogen. 1937 stirbt Winter in Hollywood/Los Angeles.
