He is the author of Care of the Soul, which was on the New York Times best-seller list for forty-four weeks, as well as many other best-selling and award-winning books on religion, spirituality and depth psychology. He has a Ph D in religious studies from Syracuse University and is a depth psychotherapist and former monk.
