The Nikon EM, which used film, was Karen’s first camera given by her parents one year for Christmas. Adjusting to a digital camera, the Nikon D300, was a challenge. Advancements in computers and her family’s generosity make it possible to create children’s books, greeting cards, calendars, and posters. These include a Naples Equestrian Challenge poster, displays in a local art gallery, businesses, and private homes, plus Bible study tools. She has a B.A. in Fine Arts with a teaching credential and has had a passion for graphic arts since the 1980s while at Compugraphic, Atex, and Xyvision.
