Bettina Mottura is Associate Professor in Chinese Language and Culture at the Department of Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication of the University of Milan, Italy, where she is Scientific Coordinator of the Contemporary Asia Research Centre (CARC). Her research focuses on the study of Chinese institutional and media discourse. In 2016, she co-authored a book on contemporary Chinese culture and institutions. Letizia Osti is Associate Professor of Arabic Language and Literature at the Department of Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication of the University of Milan, Italy. Her work focuses on classical Arabic prose and narrative techniques in literature, biography, historiography, and the intersections thereof. In 2013, she co-authored a volume on the Abbasid caliph al-Muqtadir.Giorgia Riboni is a Postdoctoral Researcher in English Studies at the Department of Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication of the University of Milan, Italy. Her main research interests lie in Internet genres and web-mediated communication platforms such as blogs and microblogs. In 2014, she published a volume on new media and political discourse.
