Come with Alice on her journeys down the rabbit hole and into the Looking-Glass world.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and
Through the Looking-Glass combines into one volume both of Lewis Carroll’s Alice books, two of the best-loved works of English literature.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a delightful account of Alice’s travels in the kingdom of the Queen of Hearts, and her encounters with the White Rabbit, the March Hare, the Mad Hatter, the Dormouse, and the Cheshire Cat. In
Through the Looking-Glass, Alice sojourns in the topsy-turvy world on the other side of the mirror, home to Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Humpty Dumpty, and numerous other characters whose lives are governed by its logical illogic.
These two novels incorporate several of Carroll’s masterpieces of comic verse, including ‘The Walrus and the Carpenter, ‘ ‘Jabberwocky, ‘ and ‘You Are Old, Father William.’ Both are illustrated with the drawings of John Tenniel, whose work has put a well-recognized face on Carroll’s characters for more than a century.
