The Hoosier Writers anthology showcases the talents of writers who have, at one point in their lives, called the state of Indiana home. While the poems and stories enclosed are not specifically about the Hoosier state, a hint of the Midwest flows through many of the works. From award-winning writers who have been published many times to first-time authors, the entries enclosed create a tapestry of talent.

Lowell R Torres was born and raised in Northwest Indiana, from the ghettos of Gary to the cornfields of Kouts. He fell in love with reading and writing at the age of thirteen, and immediately knew it was something he wanted to pursue throughout the rest of his life. He minored in Creative Writing at Indiana State University where he was heavily involved in the literary community, culminating in a semester as editor-in-chief of the undergraduate magazine and later the student newspaper. His time as editor of those two publications led to the e La RTe pubs series of books which includes the Hoosier Writers series and now the Zombies?! Zombies!! anthology. He lives in Bloomington with his wife, Rachel, and two children.
