Manoharan Govindaraj is of Indian Hindu ancestry. His family had converted to Christianity in the nineteenth century. They immigrated to Ceylon, then a British colony, now renamed Sri Lanka. Growing up in that Indian Buddhist culture gave him a unique view of Christianity. He graduated from the University of Sri Lanka, majoring in geography. He switched professions from education to accountancy to information assurance. Mano immigrated to the United States in 1993 and later became an American citizen. He holds the CPA and CISA Professional Certifications. He lives with his family in Washington, DC, where he pursues his twin professions of public accountancy and information assurance.
