About the Author
Michelle Allen originally hails from Los Angeles but has resided in Seattle for over thirty- years. Professionally, Michelle was a Head Start teacher, a recreation leader for the Parks Department, facilitated a mentoring group for young girls, and owned and operated her own daycare.
Michelle loves animals especially dogs and horses. When she is not writing or traveling, she enjoys antiquing and foraging through the community thrift stores. She is an avid reader and loves photography. Her favorite subjects are children and puppies. When she has the spare time, a good book while lounging on the beach makes her joyful.
Michelle’s goal with her series of Ms. Periwinkle books is to enlighten and educate children about core values and offer them tools to navigate harmoniously through life.
Bio on J. J. Boo
Illustrator, sculptor, and jewelry maker, J. J. Boo, as she is affectionately tagged, is a young talented artist who enjoys color, shapes, and the upbeat influence art has on people.
At age four, J. J. began drawing, painting, and appreciating all art forms. Her art has cultivated into a variety of mediums. She experiments with clay, wire, polymer and anything fascinating.
Ms. Boo lives in Seattle with her dog, Baby, and her bearded dragon, Yoshe. She loves camping, amusement parks, perusing art museums, and creating powerful female superhero caricatures.
