Philipp Robinson Rössner is a senior lecturer (associate professor) in early modern history at the University of Manchester, UK. Trained as an economic historian at the University of Göttingen, Germany, where he did his MA in 2003, he moved to the University of Edinburgh, UK, where he did his Ph D. Between 2007 and 2012 Rössner worked as a lecturer in social and economic history at the University of Leipzig, Germany, where he obtained a senior doctorate in social and economic history.
