Renee Bennett has been a Christian for 40 years and studied the Bible and written personal journals about what she learned for the last 30 years. She has been to many countries on missions, over the last decade and taught the Bible to children, both here in the United States and around the world. She serves on the Women’s Ministry team at her home church and leads the Titus 2 Women’s Mentoring Program, as well as managing the kitchen and all events that involve food. She writes what God leads her to write about in her prayer time and does her best to be obedient in listening. She writes to glorify God and to encourage others to get excited about looking in His Word for hidden treasures, whether their perceptions agree with her own or not. Her own journey has been that she “graduated from the school of hard knocks with honors.” She states, “Sometimes at the hand of another person and honestly, sometimes as a result of my own foolish choices. But God is faithful and keeps writing His story on my heart and in my life.” She lives in an average sized city in Georgia, near all of her extended family. She has been married to her high school sweetheart since high school. They have a son and a daughter and 8 biological grandchildren, four boys and four girls ranging in age from 16 down to 8 months. They had 5 foster children that lived with then for 2 years and all except one of them are grown now. The two older girls have children as well, a daughter and two sons and one more on the way, for a running total of 12 grandchildren. The foster kids do not live close but will always be children of our hearts. Renee states, “My grandchildren are the reason that I write. If I have any power to change the world in any small way, I will use it to shift our culture for a better future for them and be an example for them myself.” >p> The vision God has given her for the future is to fund trips for 7th or 8th grade students in the summer to visit other cultures here or abroad. Changing the world and the future will begin with changing hearts and minds of one young person at a time!
