Stephanie Chambers was born in Topeka, Kansas, and lived in Florida for the first three years. When she moved back to Kansas, she idolized her family and wanted to be like them in different aspects. Her mother was smart and her sister taught her how to be a good person. Her father, however, had the biggest impact with his reading three to four books a week. Steph saw that he did it so much; she wanted to do the same thing. She was so determined that she learned her ABCs faster than the other children in kindergarten. Her favorite book genre has always been fantasy, and now she writes her own magic.
