John B. White received his PhD from the University of Edinburgh, UK, and is Assistant Professor and holder of the Harold and Dottie Riley Professorship in Practical Theology and director of the Sport Chaplaincy/Ministry Program at George W. Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University, USA. He is the Principal Investigator and Faculty Director of the newly established Youth Spirituality and Sports Institute: Running the Race Well at Baylor University, which is funded by a grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc. John has edited and published a range of scholarly and popular articles and books on theology, ethics, and religion and sport, including his recent co-edited book Sports Chaplaincy: Trends, Issues and Debates (2016).
