Basil Shumbanhete is an Accountant and Finance specialist currently lecturing at Marondera
University within the Faculty of Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship, the department of Agribusiness.
He studied for his Master of Science in Accounting and Finance (National University of Science and
Technology) and a B Com Accounting from the Open University of Zimbabwe. He also holds a professional qualification in Accounting from ACCA. Basil has worked in a number of organisations including the education sector, the banking sector, and an accounting firm also within the public sector. His areas of interest include agriculture finance, green accounting, auditing, blockchain technology, financial technology and value chain management.
