Holiday Romance Level 600 Reader (J) is a modernized and simplified version of Charles Dickens’ four-part novella Holiday Romance (1868). Encouraging freedom of imagination, it is narrated by four children-William Tinkling (aged eight), Nettie Ashford (aged six and a half), Robin Redforth (aged nine), and Alice Rainbird (aged seven). The children meet, fall in love, and live out their fantasies while on holiday.

Over de auteur
John Mc Lean is an associate professor at Yasuda Women’s University in Hiroshima, Japan. He oversees the Department of English Interpreting Stream. He is known for his interpreting work with some of Japan’s leading athletes and film directors. In 2020, he subtitled Toshihiro Goto’s award winning film ‘Hiroshima Piano’ [Okasan no Hibaku Piano].
