David Christie Murray (1847-1907) was an English novelist and journalist. He worked as a printer and as a police reporter in court matters—he was also a soldier, reporting on the Russo-Turkish War. Of the thirty novels he wrote, his best remembered are Joseph’s Coat (1881), Val Strange (1882), and Aunt Rachel (1886).
