David Sixsmith is a Senior Lecturer in Law and the programme leader for the Legal Practice Course and postgraduate SQE provision at the University of Sunderland. He is a non-practising solicitor and has previously been a partner at a high street firm. He is heavily involved with the development of profession-facing legal education at the University of Sunderland and teaches dispute resolution and wills and administration of estates at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
