George Willis Cooke (1848-1923), was a Unitarian minister, editor, and lecturer. His first major work was Ralph Waldo Emerson: His Life, Writings and Philosophy. This was followed by George Eliot, a Critical Study of Her Life, Writings, and Philosophy. He is best known now for his landmark history of the Unitarian movement in the 19th century, published in 1902.
