"The Moth" tells the story of Hapley, an entomologist obsessed with his rivalry with Pawkins, who dies before their feud is settled. After Pawkins' death, Hapley is haunted by a mysterious moth that seems to embody his deceased rival, leading to Hapley's descent into madness as he tries to capture it, ultimately ending up in a padded cell.
