‘The Dunwich Horror’ is a classic horror story by H.P. Lovecraft, first published in 1929. Set in a rural Massachusetts village, the story revolves around the Whateley family and their mysterious and malevolent powers. When Wilbur Whateley is born, the villagers begin to notice strange happenings and unexplained occurrences. Meanwhile, a group of scholars from Miskatonic University become interested in the strange occurrences in Dunwich, and begin to uncover a terrifying and ancient evil that threatens to consume everything in its path. ‘The Dunwich Horror’ is a masterpiece of cosmic horror, featuring Lovecraft’s trademark themes of forbidden knowledge, malevolent entities, and the insignificance of humanity in the face of cosmic forces beyond our understanding.
