Linda Kandelin Chambers is an award-winning author of books for children. Raised on a ranch in the San Fernando Valley, Linda grew up working at her parents’ business in North Hollywood, California—Frank Kandelin Western Wear and Saddlery. Her mother was an English teacher and instilled in Linda a deep appreciation for the written word. Upon graduating from high school, Linda studied abroad then returned home to earn her degrees in English, Spanish, and philosophy. As a teacher, she taught English and Spanish to high school students in northern Nevada, where she lives on a small ranch with her husband, recently retired stuntman Steve Chambers. Her love of nature and for children has provided a splendid blend for the poems and chapter books she creates for boys and girls.
