Over de auteur

Chris Crowther-Dowey, is Senior Lecturer in Criminology in the School of Social Sciences at Nottingham Trent University.   Chris Crowther-Dowey is the co-author (with Marisa Silvestri, University of Kent) of Gender and Crime (a third edition is in the process of being written to be published by Sage), and author/co-author of a range of other books, articles and research reports. His scholarly and curricular interests include policing, gender based violence, criminal justice policy making and criminological theory. For more than 20 years, he has taught courses in criminology, sociology and social policy at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Currently, he is lecturing on Policing and Criminological Research in Practice at Nottingham Trent University. Chris has a Ph D in the social sciences from the University of Sheffield, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees covering the areas of sociology, social policy and criminology.
