While there the trio encounter lions and bandits, while also visiting great wonders of the world like the Pyramids and the Sphinx. A sequel to the Adventures of Tom Sawyer, the novel is a parody of the adventure stories of Jules Verne.

He is considered one of the fathers of American literature and is remembered most fondly for his classic novels The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
