Ruhizal Roosli is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Housing, Building and Planning at the Universiti Sains Malaysia, having received his PhD in Housing Studies from Northumbria University, UK, and his Advanced Diploma in Peace Operations and Crisis Management from the Institute for International Political Studies, Milan, Italy. He has published extensively in the areas of disaster and development. Muhammad Rusdi obtained his MSc in Remote Sensing and GIS at the Faculty of Agriculture of Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia, in 2005 and his PhD in Geographic Information Systems at the School of Housing, Building and Planning of Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2016. He has served as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture at Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia, since 2006.Mohd. Sanusi S. Ahamad received a PhD in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 1998. He is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering of Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is the author and co-author of more than 120 technical and scientific articles, and his research interests are geo-spatial decisions, spatial site selections, and geomeasurement sciences.Andrew Collins is a Professor in Disaster and Development in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at the Northumbria University, UK. He gained his PhD in Human Geography from King”s College London in 1996. His research focuses on the theoretical, methodological and policy aspects of risk reduction, health ecology, human security and sustainable development in contexts of complex change.
