Roderick Grant is Chair + Associate Professor of Graphic Design at OCAD University, in Toronto, Canada. Before joining OCAD U in the Fall of 2009, Roderick taught design at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He holds an MFA degree in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, and a BA in Urban Studies from New College of Florida. Roderick”s engagement of both undergraduate and graduate level pedagogy centres on the critical interrogation of representation, narrative construction, concepts of space and occupation, urban thresholds and design activity across dimensional practices. His recent scholarship on design pedagogy includes presentations and workshops with the Council of Ontario Universities, and the AIGA National Design Educator”s Conference.
