Roland (Rolly) Hopkins is a successful newspaper publisher whose background (way back) included lay preaching, and he came very close to becoming a full-time minister. He also dabbled in professional horse racing, winning (as an owner) over three hundred races and having a horse nominated for the Kentucky Derby (the dream of every owner, breeder, and trainer).
