Knut Heidar is Professor of Political Science at the University of Oslo, Norway. He has written a number of articles and books and the main focus of his work is on political parties and party systems, as well as comparative policies with Western Europe as the main area. Thematic research focuses on the role and importance of the parties and party members in different political systems.
