Over de auteur

Prof. Sabu Thomas is former Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University and currently he is the Chairman , Trivandrum Engineering Science & Technology Research Park ( Tr EST Research Park).  . He is also a full professor of Polymer Science and Engineering at the School of Chemical Sciences of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India and the Founder Director and Professor of the International and Interuniversity Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Prof. Thomas is known for his international acclaims for his work in nanoscience, polymer science and engineering, polymer nanocomposites, elastomers, polymer blends, interpenetrating polymer networks, polymer membranes, green composites and nanocomposites,  nanomedicine and green nanotechnology. Dr. Thomas’s ground breaking inventions in polymer nanocomposites, polymer blends, green bionanotechnological and nano-biomedical sciences, have made transformative differences in the development of new materials for automotive, space, housing and biomedical fields.
Dr. Cintil Jose Chirayil is Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Newman College, Kerala, India. She received her Ph.D. in Polymer Science from Mahatma Gandhi University, India, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Centre for Advanced Materials, Qatar University, Doha. She has 13 years of research experience in the field of nanoscience and nanocellulose with 21 publications in international peer reviewed journals and 23 book chapters and four edited books. She has won the Young Scientist Award in 2011, in the International Conference jointly organised by Leed’s University London and NIT Calicut.   She was the recipient of foreign scholarships from University of Potsdam-Germany, University of Mara-Malaysia, Institute of Chemistry-Austria, for in depth research in the field of Nano science. She is an approved research guide of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, in the subject area Chemical sciences.
Ms. Rini Thresia Varghese is currently pursuing doctoral research from Newman College Thodupuzha, Kerala, India under the affiliation of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India. She obtained her M. Phil degree with first rank in Polymer Chemistry from School of Chemical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University,     Kottayam, Kerala, India and a Post graduate degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from   Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kochi, Kerala. She is a passionate chemist with a profound research experience in different fields and is presently pursuing her research works in the field of nanocellulose and polymer nanocomposites. Her main research work focuses on developing economically feasible and sustainable products from nanocellulose for environmental remediation applications. She has to her credit various publications in renowned journals during her research period, notably 8 research articles in international journals and 6 book chapters published.  She has also achieved various awards including proficiency merits and best poster presentation awards.
