Deborah Shaw is Associate Dean of Research in the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries and Reader in Film Studies at the University of Portsmouth, UK. Shaw is the founding co-editor of the journal Transnational Cinemas, and author of The Three Amigos: The Transnational Filmmaking of Guillermo del Toro, Alejandro González Iñárritu, and Alfonso Cuarón (2013), and editor of Contemporary Latin American Cinema: Breaking into the Global Market (2007), and co-editor of The Transnational Fantasies of Guillermo del Toro (2014) with Ann Davies and Dolores Tierney.
