Four Americans experience a corporate takeover of the nation that happens slowly throughout their lives. Johnny Nadeau has a computer scholarship and becomes a pawn in the political blackmail games of Al Vars, who attempts to overthrow the government with their candidate, Father Morgan. Patrick Donahue becomes a member of the shadow police force operated by Grant Contrad, who plans to double-cross Al for marrying Grant’s daughter.
