He has published more than 145 peer-reviewed journal papers, one textbook and edited 4 research books in the field of general tribology.

Dr. Deepak Kumar is currently a full professor at Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He obtained his B.Tech. (Production Engineering) from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Pantnagar, M.Tech. (Metallurgical and Material Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. His major areas of research interests include tribology, wear and corrosion-resistant coatings, environmental-friendly metalworking fluids and greases. He has published 45 papers in respected international journals. Dr. Kumar received Best Ph.D. award and Gold medal from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in 2010.  He is an active reviewer for many international journals.

Dr. Nitya Nand Gosvami completed his B. Tech. with honors in Metallurgical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology—Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU), India in 2003 and completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore in 2008. He joined Leibniz Institute for New Materials in Germany as a postdoctoral scientist in March 2008 and was later awarded Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship. During March – May 2008, he was a visiting scientist at the Department of Physics at Mc Gill University in Canada. In October 2010, he joined University College London in UK as a research associate and worked in collaboration with London Center for Nanotechnology. In September 2012, he moved to the Mechanical Engineering Department at University of Pennsylvania in the USA where he worked as a research project manager. He joined the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) in 2016 where he is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

Dr. Prathima Nalam is an assistant professor at the Department of Materials Design and Innovation, University at Buffalo, New York. She completed a Master’s Degree (2007) and Ph.D. (2012) in Material Science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich, Switzerland. She was awarded the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) postdoctoral fellowship and moved to the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN) USA in September 2012 to conduct research in nanotribology. Later, in July 2015, she moved to University at Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) to conduct postdoctoral research on a TOTAL, France–funded project. Her primary research motto is to develop alternative materials that will leave a low-carbon footprint on the environment. Her research interests lie in developing next-generation materials in the fields of tribology, filtration, and bioengineering.
